Washington, DC – U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) released the following statement as funerals are being held today for three kidnapped and murdered Israeli teenagers Naftali Frankel, Eyal Yifrach, and Gilad Shaar.
“My thoughts and prayers are with the three families and with the Israeli people in this moment of great tragedy and loss. Those responsible for these heinous and cold-blooded murders must be held accountable. If, as suspected, members of Hamas are responsible, it is further evidence of why the PLO reconciliation agreement with Hamas, a known terrorist organization that refuses to recognize Israel and is committed to her destruction, continues to shove away the hand of peace further and further.”
