U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand today issued the following statement on the six hostages killed in Gaza, including Israeli-American Hersh Goldberg-Polin:
“I’m devastated and horrified by the murder of six hostages, including Israeli-American Hersh Goldberg-Polin. My heart is with their families and loved ones today.
“Hersh was just 23 years old, described by his mother as a ‘happy-go-lucky, laid back, good humored, respectful and curious person’ with a bright future ahead of him. My heart breaks for his parents, Rachel and Jon, who worked tirelessly to bring Hersh and all the hostages home.
“Hamas leaders must be held accountable for their crimes. And we will keep working until we bring the remaining hostages home.”
