Washington D.C. – U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand issued the following statement regarding the new U.S.-Israel memorandum of understanding being signed today:
“I am very pleased that the Obama Administration and the Netanyahu government are signing this agreement today. The agreement represents our commitment to Israel and to the security of all Israelis, and I was proud to join my colleagues in urging the Administration to come to an agreement as quickly as possible. Israel should have all the resources necessary to protect its citizens from the range of threats it faces in a dangerous region, and I will continue to work with my colleagues to ensure that Israel has the resources and support it needs in the future.”
