Today, in light of reporting that Donald Trump supports a national abortion ban, U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand issued the following statement:
“The threat of a national abortion ban is real. We must act now to defend American women’s freedom and equality. We need to certify and publish the Equal Rights Amendment immediately to enshrine women’s equal rights in the Constitution and protect every American’s freedom.”
